At Barrowby CE Primary School, we continually review, evaluate and measure the effectiveness of:

• our school's identified PE, sport and physical activity priorities;
• our curricular sport;
• the range of intra-school competition;
• the range of inter-school competition;
• our extra-curricular provision;
• our extended sport activities

In 2024-2025, we haves strategically invested the Sports Premium Funding to ensure long-term, sustainable improvements in physical education and inclusive sport. A key focus has been upskilling staff to deliver targeted support for identified groups of children, embedding inclusive practices into daily provision.

The PE and School Sport Lead has been allocated dedicated non-contact time to coordinate resources, deliver high-quality CPD, and collaborate with national institutions such as the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera House to develop a future-facing dance scheme of work. Additionally, she has empowered our young leaders through the 'Sports Committee', enabling pupils to take ownership of a diverse calendar of sporting events, fostering leadership and a lasting culture of active participation across the school.
